Clients can use the POD as a branding tool by customizing the booth’s panels with their logo or artwork (you can’t do that with a pipe and drape booth!). After a year and a half, Capture POD is getting closer to perfecting the photo booth rental process. We’ve learned that it’s one thing to get your POD booked for an event, and a whole other fete to get your POD to the event in one working piece. With so many components, it’s easy to forget, say, a pack of extra batteries.  We’ve found that the best way to ensure that nothing is left behind is to put it on paper. As Seen On TV

 

 

 

On January 19th a Capture POD was featured on a Weddings 101 segment on NBC courtesy of certified wedding planner, Karyna Vazquez.   Karyna is the president of Just Because Events and was featured on the NBC 6 “Live Miami” show to present a segment on new wedding trends—“unique, fun, and affordable ideas for 2012!” The POD squad met Karyna at an Elite Bridal Network event last November and loved the POD so much that she wanted to include the POD in her segment. Proof that showcasing your POD at trade shows and other promotional events really does pay off! Karyna discussed wedding photo booth rentals, cake pops, and other cool ideas that brides-to-be will love.

Photo Booth Rental Backgrounds: Colored to Custom

 

 

Besides boxy design and cringe worthy picture quality, another frightful feature of old-fashioned photo booths is the lackluster curtain backdrop.  We’re sure curtain backdrops are meant to look elegant, but those dull, dusty things have no business in the POD. Our different colored backgrounds offer clients a more fun, flattering photo, and allow them to coordinate their photo booth rental with their event decor.

The POD’s backgrounds can also be customized with logos, photos, and other graphics. There are several ways to create and install custom backgrounds, but Capture POD uses these  simple steps and guidelines for photo booth rentals. Our method does not involve green screen technology.

 

  • Artwork is designed to size (48” long by 70” wide). Clients must provide artwork at least seven days before date of event.
    (Please note that artwork placed within 8 inches of the edges will not be seen in pictures.)
  • Hire a local printing service to print the custom background on matte paper and install it in the POD with gator clips.

                                               

 

NOTE:  Print the background on the least reflective surface available to prevent creating a glare in pictures. We strongly recommend that all custom backgrounds be tested in the POD prior to an event to ensure that the artwork photographs well.

Communicating the difference between the POD and other photo booths on the market can be challenging. Potential clients aren’t used to a selection of different colored backgrounds, studio-quality prints, and a sleek white design, so they need more than just pictures and paragraphs to prove that the POD will bring customized, contemporary fun to their events.  To solve this dilemma, we got creative and created a video that separates the POD from the pack. POD in Action: Miami Dolphins Game

Dolphin fans were treated to photos and football last Sunday at the Sun Life Stadium. A fully customized POD snapped pictures of season ticket holders sporting their best game faces at Nat Moore’s BBQ Bash. We decked the booth out in the Dolphin team colors and logo, and in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, guests posed against a pink background.

Close that Sale!

Your website looks great, you have a healthy number of likes on facebook, and you offer the best photo booth in the market. It seems like you’re doing everything right, but are you converting your leads? When you receive inquiries, how often are you closing the deal?

To see an increase in bookings, evaluating your sales process is necessary. Consider this:

48% of salespeople never follow up after the first contact with a prospect.
25% of salespeople make a 2nd contact and stop.
12% of salespeople make a 3rd contact and stop.
Only 10% of salespeople make more than 3 contacts.
80% of sales are made on the 5th to 12th contact.

Put simply, you must actively pursue and follow up with your leads if you want more business. Be persistent in reaching out to potential clients because although the POD is the best photo booth available, it won’t sell itself.

The solution: Email. Call. Repeat.

If your lead wants you to stop contacting them then they will let you know. Until then, keep on keeping on.

One of the best wedding shows on TV is TLC’s “Four Weddings,” a highly entertaining reality series that features four confident brides who not only show off their own individual weddings but attend each other’s big day too. The brides judge each wedding on overall experience, food, venue, and the bride’s dress, and the lucky lady with the highest votes wins an all expense paid 5 STAR HONEYMOON!

You’re probably wondering why we’re telling you this.

Well, TLC is now casting brides for their upcoming series! If you’re a POD owner located in NY, NJ, Miami or Phoenix, and know a bride who is getting married between September 2011-April 2012, you should definitely encourage her to try to get on the show! Really, with a POD photo booth at her wedding, how could she lose? Other photo booths have been featured on the show before and been a big hit but we all know how much of an eye sore they are. An opportunity like this could do phenomenal things for your business!

The POD in Action: Fashion’s Night Out

Fashion's Night Out Photo BoothFor the third year in a row, the most stylish night of the year is coming up! Fashion’s Night Out will be taking place on September 8, 2011, and this year the POD will be a part of the Vogue-sponsored event. Not one, not two, but three POD photo booths have been hired to snap photos of local shopaholics at the Village of Merrick Park here in Miami. Shoppers will be able to capture their Fashion’s Night Out experience by receiving a complimentary photo booth session with any purchase of $25 or more from any retailer throughout the center. This is a fantastic event that we encourage POD owners everywhere to try to get in on. From San Antonio to St. Louis, FNO takes place in cities everywhere and it gets bigger and better every year!
